Those were the days

We grew up watching Transformers,Thundercats, Woody the Woodpecker, 
BugsBunny, Mickey Mouse, Captain Planet,Barney and friends, Ninja
Turtles,Gummie Bears, Baja Hitam, Ultraman.

Remember we had to brush our teeth during recess at primary school? 
we had to hold plastic cups, line up with
your classmates sideby side and start brushing our teeth at some open
area... or maybe near some drain?? and sometimes there will be some
nurses teaching us the correct way to brush our teeth....
do you still remember that we had 'dentist' rooms where
we had to have our tooth check?

Not to forget our 'program minum susu'in primary school.. everybody was
suppose tobuy like cartons of milk that cost 30 cents each..
and you would see everyone
drinking it everyday...and don't forget VITAGEN! we went crazy for
them....And then the teachers who would want to punish us must use
yellow rulers to hit the back of our palms?? or 'cubit' our stomach...hehe

In the canteen a bowl of mihun soup or some soup only cost 50 cents. 
After school we would go to some sundry shop near
the school or to the 'roti' man waiting outside our schools so that
we can buy junk food like chickedees, mamee, dingdang with some toys in it.
We would play games like monopoly, uno, old maid,
snap, happyfamily and all other card games like that...

Then another fun time would be during Pendidikan Jasmani. 
The boys would play football while the
girls would play netball... and it would be like we were playing in the world
cup...but of course the best would be main guli, batu seremban, bottlecaps,
ice-cream sticks, 'Pepsi Cola one-two-three', Cops and Robbers, main
kejar-kejar duduk.. and for the those who arent so active,
those kind of 'book games'where we would use buku latihan to draw
and ask our friends to play...

Do you remember the ice-cream tubes which are actually ice and
coloring that are sold for 10 to 20 cents.. the colorful ones..
where you usually bite off
the top to glup it down, and your whole mouth will be full of those colors...

What about days when we felt like doing naughty
things such as folding papers so small to make
'lastik' and shoot each other... how about throwing chalks??

Back then, micheal jackson was just turning white.. 
and still had albums coming out.. compared to CD's, we
were listening to tapes that sold for RM9.90...in computer class,
we werestill using black and white computer moniters..
played 'Atari'... maybe SEGA
or NINTENDO...

Well well well, are we all getting older or what?

1) if you understand what you have read and you are smiling...

2) we have friends from school that are already married...

3) we shake our heads everytime we see high school students 
fussing about their handphones in school..

4) we don't hang on phone with our friends for hours a day
talking about nothing...

5) when we meet back with our friends from time to time,
we feel excited and happy talking about old times, the funny
'adventures' or stories that we experienced as a kid..

6)last but not least, that when you read this, you would think
of all the happy & sad memories that you have experienced
when you were still a kid...


Hmm, seriously..i do miss childhood..

My "happening" week

Back, and its time to update this place again. So dusty smore, bleh.. Cannot lose to you! *sticks out tongue*

Last monday at 11.30pm, my grandma passed away peacefully.
Well, eventhough she did bring a lot of trouble and bustle to this house, i dearly missed her when she's gone. Doctor said that the ulcer in stomach burst and that was what killed her.

I used to love going to her house when i was a kid, and she'll cook half boiled eggs for me and let me feed her ducks and chickens at the back of the house. And then some mornings, dad'll bring me and jian to eat wantan mee, some where in town. I loved life there, especially during chinese new year, where we used to spend like almost a week there. And ill play with my cousins and get all dirty. And then grandma will call us in to eat fruits before letting us run out to play again.

Oh well, grandma's in heaven now, and im gonna be seeing her there one day. *smile*

Missing you dearly grandma..

Next came my Jean Gan Charity Dance Galore 2007 last saturday and sunday. ^^
My item was done to the song Bout It from the movie Step Up.

Erm, didnt really take much pictures other than the few dressing room ones la. Well, we were only restricted to that sadly. The rest will have to wait till they released the photos and i can go buy from em.

So there you have it, our dressing room phase. *winks*

Anyway, on a lighter note, i went to Lagoon today and had a whole day of relaxation..good for de-stressing. Anyway, was supposed to play at the dry park before getting soaked at the wet park, but after sitting the Ferris Wheel (yeah, we actually sat on that boring old thing..=p) we headed straight to the toilets to change. Then we jumped straight into the water. ^^

Basically, the whole afternoon was spent chatting among ourselves and lying under the sun trying to get a tan, which i actually suceeded.. haha, wanna see? come look for me la..haha

Nola, i actually got burned..yup..my shoulders are black and red and peeling..genius right?...
I know..

And, we saw Joey G! Gosh, he looked so hawt..actually, it was because of his height i think..tall, dark and...okay..lets minus the handsome part..and he was walking around in his boardshorts...sigh..And then, he turned and looked at me..wah..that time i could feel my heart thumping and my face burning up le..seriously..i dont know whats it with celebrities..they just have to look at people, and everyone will start swooning..haha..good thing i didnt..haha, that would be a sight to see..

So after frolicking some more, and talking some more..we decided to call it a day and hit the showers..
And then i realised i didnt bring plastic bag to contain my wet clothes..well, swim wear....so i wore it on and stood in the sun and waited for it to dry........NOT..haha, i manage to get a plastic bag from one of the stalls..

Then we had KFC..and i realized that most people will automatically head over to KFC to have a meal after going Lagoon..hmm, why ar? u tell me...

I gasak ed TWO pieces of chicken(I know its not alot...hey, i have to jaga my weight kays..cuz some one called me a brazilian model weih...muahahaha..*winks*) and we all headed home...

Good thing no jam..and i manage to get a nap before getting up later to finish typing my notes for saturday..

Its been a fruitful week..And tomorrow got CG! Yay!

Pre-U Getaway

YEARGH!!!

Back from dreamland into reality. Thats how it was with all of us after coming back to church this afternoon at around 5. We had our pre-u getaway at STM, Seminary Theology Malaysia. Boy, and was it the best retreat/camp ive been to. Its even better than all of those XYZ camps i went. Well, not exactly, but both had its own pros and cons, just that the getaway was a hundred times more fun. Weeee. I am so glad i went, we all came back recharged and our minds renewed.

On the 4th of May 2007, 5 cars set out to stm at about 5 something in the afternoon. I was in Dexter's car along with Pik Tze. Eventhough we were the last to set out, surprisingly, we were the first to reach our destination. The rest actually got lost somehow, somewhere. Muahahaha.

We arrived to a seemingly deserted "resort-like" place. There were a few people playing basketball or volleyball i cant remember which one at the nearby court. This was actually my first time to STM so i cant help but noticed a lot of things. For example, the paint on the walls were almost gone, the place looked a little untidy and unkept for some time, the grass was quite long, its almost as if nobody tended to them for a while. Anyway, it didnt really bothered me after awhile because the three of us were busy cam whoring. What better than to cam whore while waiting for the others to arrive.

The rest arrived after we got the keys from the caretaker and taken a look at the hall we were going to be using. Had lunch and went to check out our rooms and the necessary.

The difference between a normal camp/retreat and our getaway was that they all have speakers or someone to preach during sessions whereas ours did not. We were just using the time to bond and get to know one another better and just sharing our experiences with the rest.

So share about ourselves we did and through that i got to know people even better. And then at night, there was no curfew for us. Hehe. And most of us stayed up to chat and "gsp" about stuff. And i think that was what i enjoyed the most. We yak yak and yak till quite late and did not sleep, which we should have because the next day everyone was sleepy and looked very crappy.

The second night was even worse, we stayed up till almost 5am. ^^ Mostly the guys came over to the girls floor ( we were all in the same dorm, the difference being guys occupied the ground floor and second floor whereas we girls occupied the first floor) to chat and hang out. The rest went up to the balcony to sit there and look at the stars and have "paktology" with each other........nola, just joking, everyone sat up there and talked. And i was hanging out with two friends of mine listening to them talk about gangsterism in their school day and how they almost got into fights la..blablablabla..haha..

It was so hot so after awhile i went back to my air conditioned room, took a bath and then went out to the little "living hall" outside my room. Gsp ed somemore..y'know how it is with girls. ^^

Around 3 to 4 in the morning, james and joshua ajak ed me to go "exploring" , which karmun and pik tze absolutely forbid me to go, knowing the reason i wanted to go..muahahaha

Anyway, STM can get really spooky at night. Really.

We walked the whole of STM, i think.
In the end, Pik Tze and Karmun threatened to lock me out of the room if i didnt go back in, so went back into my room i did. ^^

But that was really fun, we should do that again sometime. ^^

Besides all the mambo jumbo, we did encounter God especially during worship. Well, that was how it was with me. Certain things ive been stressing over since beginning of this year, so i think that confirms it, and i know what im supposed to do...but the question now is HOW?! Haih, telling myself that ill actually do it seems quite easy but the tough part comes when im supposed to actually put my thought into action.

God help me get through this!

Ah well, i really thank God for the people He puts around me, He just nevers ceases to amaze me. When im in trouble or when im looking for an answer, He'll just pop something or someone in front of me.

The long awaited day after my exams arrived.No la,i wasnt waiting for the holidays la.

And mind you its not just another one of those three weeks break again. No no, this time, its the end of my last semester for Foundations.

Its been a year since i first stepped into this hell hole university. Hmm, looking back on those days when i was still trying to fit in, wah, now i think i must have looked like a real idiot. Like some weirdo speaking in english with everyone conversing in cantonese and madarine.

Phew, then there were the problems with those la-las really chinese-chinese people. Not that i have anything personal against them, well, i mean, i knew that there would be a lot of those there. haha, just that they were "too" chinese, if you get what i mean. I know this might sound mean, but i used to laugh my head off, everytime i come across a real chinese-chinese. ^^ The way they dress and the way they always love to "ban cute".Those bright coloured clothing and the high pitch yelling from the girls. Hey, i dont do that ougay!

And then the most beautiful thing happened to me too..*daydreams and starts to drool*..*smacks self*..aherm..well, I wont say what it is, but im sure you can guess. *smirks*

Lets see, yeah, and i also did a lot of stuff i told myself i will never ever ever do, and got myself into loads of trouble. Yeah..phew..still trying to work on that..

And then i experienced my first heart attack when i got caught by the police..hehe..omgosh, that was classic man..hah..should see the look on my face, i was absolutely petrified and terrified and scared out of my wits, well, quite literally. Im not gonna say what happened, cuz i dont think you wanna know, believe me. Enough to say that that incident had me traumatized for some time, so you can be sure i will NOT be repeating that again. Haha..really..now when i think back, i cant help but laugh over what happened. Hah. And lucky me, i had a partner-in-crime, muahahaha, you know who you are. And well, that idiot and i managed get out of that situation, but with our egos badly bruised. Bleh, nasty.

Anyway, holidays are in, and ive got stuff planned out. ^^

Thank God spiderman 3 is only out after my exams, i would hate to have to miss it just because my finals fall on that time. I know i can watch it after but, wheres the fun in watching with a empty cinema, i mean, there'll be no fun if the crowd's not there ma.

Yeah, here i go again, see that "ma" up there? Im gonna be an english major and i still cant speak a sentence of proper english! *fumes*


So here i stop typing least i bore the crap out of everyone.
