The word translated manifold here is literally the "many-colored wisdom of God." Why did the apostle choose this poetic adjective? It is because life consists of many colors.

We all have blue days. And red hours of anger and passion. And golden moments of glory. And dark, somber valleys through which we must pass. And lush, green pastures into which we are sometimes led. God's love is manifest in all of these hues of life.

So when you go through a blue time, it is God's love that you are learning. When you go through a dark and pressured time, the love of God is being manifested there.

You may not see it, but God knows how to make it clear. And even the joyful times are manifestations of the many-colored wisdom of God.

Gone were the days when i used to spend the whole week at grandma's place eating freshly hatched eggs boiled by grandma. Play fire crackers and burning the tips of my fingers. Feeding rice to the chickens and ducks. Watching cny movies on tv2 and tv3 at night.

Waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of grandma washing her clothes 3 something or 4 in the morning. Getting up early in the morning just to go eat that wantan mee that wasnt even appetizing. Trying to climb that coconut tree with my cousin outside grandma's house.

And then helping everyone push the car out when it gets stuck in the mud after a heavy downpour. Cramming everyone into my old proton saga when we go visiting. Sneaking out with my brother n cousin to the near by shop to buy junk food.

I guess everything changes.

We've all grown up now, some even getting married.

sigh.
