Actually im abit lazy to blog but then all the pictures ive taken yesterday would be wasted. So here goes.

Went curve in the morning, and i finally bought another book to read, and a pretty thick one at that. Its actually something i wont normally read but then, i saw it at the shelf and it looks like it was calling out to me to be bought, plus it was an omnibus. Three books in one, and price was quite reasonable as well. Terry Brooks, quite famous, the Shannara series. So begins my late nights trying to finish reading the whole book.

Met up with dL and another friend at curve. Had lunch and then walked around like stupid fools, trying to find slippers..o_O..haha, then sat down in front of some chinese new year decorations. Hmm, they're really nice, can see a lot of people standing around there, trying to take pictures. Its all pink, some more pink, and more pink. They even had real grass where they planted the trees. So cool. So since it was a nice place, we decided to take a picture too.


Ignore the two idiots in front and take note of the background. Its pink, all the fake sakura trees and lanterns hanging from the trees. Nice though. And they put benches there for people to sit and admire the pretty scenery.


I could almost feel like im in Japan or something. Weee...Konichiwa..watashiwa shu ern des..is that how to introduce yourself in japanese? i dont know..

Anyway, instead of going for a movie, we ended up at Redbox. Its my first time. Cuz I know nuts about karaokes. So two of us, who havent been there before just stone, look blur and act jakun while the other fella went to make arrangements. I was looking at the tv showing Justin Timberlake in his music video when i noticed the glass shelf beneath the tv. There were cds and electronic devices, mp3 players i think, in there..and there were cards in front of them stating how much points they were..o_O" gosh, do people actually sing and accumulate points and redeem gifts? Wow, they must be really lifeless to come often to sing. Haha. We entered some really dark room, yeah, its as good as going to a club. Just minus the
smoke smell. We then took the two mikes and started choosing songs and yelling away into the mike for all it was worth.


Hmm, singing is a real good way to release stress, seriously. But then i lost my voice after a while, cuz my friend kept choosing songs that requires the singer to reach a very high pitch. Bleh, i think my throat's still sore now. Anyway, i had to leave after a while needing to rush over to campus for the Talent Night.

Talent Night, i still remembered saying not expecting much out of it. But i came back thinking otherwise. Even the decorations were done up really well. Anyway, they made the whole thing into a competition, so cool. Wonder whose idea was that.

The pictures i took were a little blur but oh well, better than nothing right.


So it started with the two emcees there. Poor fellas, they kept getting booed at by the crowd. And because the guest of honour arrived late, we had to sit there and listen to them trying their best to entertain us, to little success.



After the opening speech and all the stuff, it finally kicked off with these few "sakais" dancing.

Then came the "white bird". The main female character in the story actually. The girl playing that part is actually a ballerina from some dancing school in KL, nonetheless she danced pretty well. And her make up was well done, really, she looked like a every part her character. sigh..

I think i better get a more "chun" camera la, so hard to take these pictures.


Some stuff..i wasnt paying attention to what they were doing actually. ohya, now i remember, the Tan Sri (one of the guest of honour) was launching the Talent Night.

contestant number 1 appears. The chipmunk.

And she sings.

Next contestant, miss vicky, who was the Utar idol, last year. By the way, she's sings darn well. ohya, she's the leopard. Looks like all the contestants play animals in this story at the same time competing against each other.

Contestant number 3. The monkey.

Contestant number 4. The snake. During her appearance, she kept shaking her butt, as in really move it from left to right. I felt a little weird looking at her. And all the guys were whistling away and hooting at her. *shudders*


Contestant number 5. The butterfly. My ex-classmate from secondary school. Heard that she was in last year's talent night as well and a finalist too. Dunno whats going on. o_O


hmm, contestant number 6. The deer. One of my favorite contestants among the 9 of them. She's sings good enough to be among the top. Hmm, love her boots, really can kill man..^^


Contestant number 7. The lion. Yeah, im sure you can guess, just look at the hair..haha..The only thing i didnt think he should have did was show his stomach for everyone to see. Yikes, someone needs to exercise. Heh.


Contestant number 8. The peacock. Actually, i didnt know she was a peacock until someone said so. The whole time i was thinking she was some fancy dressed baboon. With the boots..Haha..how am i suppose to think of a peacock when she's wearing boots, and brown boots at that. Ohya, she sang Everything you do by M2M. Hehe. M2M..haha..okay, sorry..i got side tracked..


Then comes my favourite. Contestant number 9. The bat. Her name is Ruth. And she sang Beautiful by Christina Aguilera. And she sounds very much like Christina. Seriously, thats why she won i guess, ohya, she sang another song later, and played her guitar. And she has that really sultry and throaty voice..hmm..perfect..just perfect..




Okay, then comes Mr. ugly creature. Haha, seriously, he's actually the ugly creature, in the story la. The other main character. So he's suppose to fall in love with the white bird. Yeah.


After the meeting, animals and white bird starts dancing. Yeah.

Sing some more.

And then animals dance to the Boogie Wonderland from the Happy Feet OST. Great song, good for tapping.

Then mr ugly and white bird dances. As in Ballet. Haha, wonder how did they actually get the fella to learn how to carry her, cuz they did a lot of lifts. And its not really easy to do that.






Alright, finish dancing, then they start touching each other's faces..eww.. And she tries to take off his mask, which she succeeds.. cuz he was ugly, so she got upset, bla bla bla..the fella ran away..she regrets..u can guess what happens..she sits down and sulks..holding his discarded mask..


Then the next phase of singing and dancing..vicky, doing a really cool dance mixture of chinese and indian..check out her costume..

Now from front view. heh, cool right. How did she come up with something like that. ^^

And miss butterfly with her fan dance. Bet anyone could do what she was doing. haih..

And Ruth with her guitar. So chun. sigh.

then after that white bird looks for mr ugly finding him and gets rejected.

Then they reconcile..funny right..

Then the "gods" on top wants to kill them. And then animals are told to kill them.blah.

Then a thunder bolt comes, and strikes down one of them. white bird dies, sacrificing herself.

Animals start singing..haha..heal the world

then dunno how, she's suddently alive again..haha..even funnier..

bla bla bla..happy happy happy..then finish story lo..^^

Just now i called the National Breast Cancer Council and asked about the event thingy..phew..so scary..and they said i had to write a letter and send to the president..wah..if i knew that i wont go trouble myself to call them la. I had to gather my courage, write down the stuff i wanted to say and make the effort to punch in the number to call them..bleh..Anyway, jo's gonna write the letter so i dont have to stress over that too. Hehe.

Hmm, later i have a meeting to attend. About this saturday's treasure hunt. Mafan, thought i could lie on my bed tonight and just eat something and read my newly bought book. Looks like that'll have to wait until i get back. Fuh, well, i know i shouldnt be complaining about it but i just cant resist the tempatation to, haha..well, i mean well wert..^^

Lastly i went in the kitchen this afternoon and i saw the huge yam mum bought from the market.. haha..its so unusual that i couldnt resist not taking a few pictures..
